State 4A basketball: Farmers join the boys postseason tournament

AURORA -- When the Colorado High School Activities Association announced the 4A boys basketball draw March 8, Wheat Ridge's team was on the bracket.

The Farmers travel to Steamboat Springs for a first-round game at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. The winner gets either Golden or Summit in the second round Thursday, March 11.

WRHS was 8-5 during the regular season. Westin Miller averages almost 20 points per game, while Dominic Cross averages about 13 ppg. The Sailors finished the regular season with a spotless 14-0 mark. Eric Pollert scores at a 15-point-per-game clip, while Jakob Kreissing averages a bit more than 10 points per contest.

The final four is Tuesday, March 11, and the finals are Friday, March 19, at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs.
