Last Friday, Belmar Plaza looked somewhat like a normal Friday night in August, thanks to Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts and Alameda Connects.

Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts, a country band, visited Belmar Plaza on Aug. 28 for a night packed with live music, beer and wine, friends and family and more. The event was hosted by Alameda Connects, a Lakewood nonprofit that promotes the Alameda area.

Ticket sales for the show benefited the Eaton Senior Communities retirement home in Lakewood. Beer and wine sales benefited the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood, a club that works to improve the lives of children in the community.
