Lakewood police searching for hit-and-run suspect who injured store employee

Lakewood Police are searching for a man who they believe intentionally ran over an employee after shoplifting at a Walgreens on the night of Sept. 3.

According to Public Information Officer Lauren Castrogiovannion, the incident occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the Walgreens located on the corner of W. Colfax Avenue and Kipling Street. The suspect entered a truck to flee from the store and ran over the employee as they were standing outside the store, seriously injuring them.

The suspected involved truck is a 1993 Chevy Silverado with a step-side truck bed, according to a release by Lakewood Police Department. The truck had a Colorado license plate number of OLF035 at the time of the assault. The truck has a dark blue hood and front fender, with the rest of the vehicle gray.

Police are requesting public assistance in identifying the suspect and vehicle. Anyone with information can contact the Lakewood Police Department at 303-980-7300.
