More than 400 Chatfield Senior High students graduated Friday at Red Rocks for the school's Class of 2021. During the ceremony, both staff and graduates described the Class of 2021 as "the resilient ones." Corrie Hitchens, assistant principal and 12th grade administrator, said she's incredibly proud of the graduates' resiliency and hoped they found something positive amid their unique high school experience. Senior class president Jayce Rumsey described how an experience playing soccer at 8 years old eventually helped him discover theater, which he continue studying in college. Thus, he likewise hoped his classmates would "kick the ball" and find things that set them on new adventures.
