US held hostage by Biden’s extremist ideologs 

Our people need to know truth about US energy and CO₂emissions, not just hear fear mongering.

The US has cut CO₂emissions since 2000 and now emits less CO₂than in 1990, when calls for CO₂reduction began. US per capita CO₂emissions declined 22.5% since 1980. Using natural gas in lieu of coal helped. But, while the US cut CO₂emissions, most countries, since 1990, steadily increased CO₂emissions, some greatly. China’s CO₂emissions rose by 430%.

The US reached energy independence in 2019 (more energy produced than consumed) but with President Biden and the band of climate zealots advising him that changed!  Keystone Pipeline was canceled, drilling leases curtailed, imports of oil increased (including 595,000 BPD of oil from Russia) and oil prices surged. Higher oil prices triggered by Biden signaling the cutting of US role in oil production and begging for oil from the Saudis fueled a steady rise in oil prices in 2020 (from $50 a barrel to $100). This increase led to an economic bonanza for Russia who export 7 million BPD. Think that helped fund their war effort?

After two weeks of Russia’s war on Ukraine, Biden finally, banned Russian oil imports.  Good sense says – produce more US oil and lower oil prices, but Biden rejects that. Not allowed by his energy advisors- virtue signaling US oil abstinence ideology. Oil from Russia, Iran or Venezuela emits CO₂just like US oil! The US should reestablish energy independence and be freed from inane ideology.
