Jeffco parents dead in apparent murder-suicide

Posted

A man and a woman were found dead in an apparent domestic-related muder-suicide, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a home on the 16200 block of W. Ellsworth Ave. around 4:35 p.m. from a 911 call on Sept. 10 by a neighbor. The neighbor said two small children rang their doorbell asking for help “with their parents.”

Approaching the home, the neighbor found an adult male unresponsive on the front porch and an adult female also unresponsive in a car parked in front of the home, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, they found both man and woman to be dead.

The deaths are currently under investigation, with the Sheriff’s Office not currently releasing names of the parents. The Sheriff's Office stated  in a press release that “all indications are that this is a domestic-related murder-suicide."

The two children were not hurt, and are currently being cared for by a friend of the mother.
