Democrat John Hickenlooper, Colorado's former governor, defeated incumbent Republican Cory Gardner in the race for one of Colorado's U.S. Senate seats in the Nov. 3 election. Results updated by the state the afternoon of Nov. 4 showed Hickenlooper had received 53.7% of the statewide vote, with Gardner garnering 44.2%.
