Dream Dinners, the well-known meal-kit franchise, is now open in Castle Rock. Parker couple Michele and Cameron Byers bought into the 20-year-old franchise after being customers at one for years.
“We just fell in love with it at the Parker store,” Michele said. “We have been consumers with the Parker store for four years. Fell in love with how easy it is to make the meals. We fell in love with the variety.”
The Byerses opened the new Dream Dinners on July 8 at 333 Perry St. in Castle Rock. Michele said they chose Castle Rock because it is a growing town with plenty of families to take advantage of the easy service Dream Dinners provides.
“I have fallen in love with Castle Rock,” Michele said. “Everyone here has been so welcoming and supportive as we go forward with this new venture.”
Dream Dinners is the only meal kit concept solely focused on families. Customers select a month’s worth of meals from a rotating menu, then visit a local kitchen to pick up their order or prepare the kits themselves. The kits, which come in two sizes, are prepared from fresh ingredients then frozen, eliminating planning, shopping and chopping.
Home delivery is also available. Cooking the meals takes as little as 30 minutes.
Michele said she wishes Dream Dinners would have been around when she raised her children. Now, with them grown, she wants to help local families manage their busy lives by giving them the opportunity to get healthy meal options without the stress of going to the grocery store and eliminating the time it takes to chop and prepare a fresh meal.
“Meal options change monthly, and they really are wholesome,” Michele said. “It is good quality meat and vegetables. We have reliable, restaurant grade meals.”
Dream Dinners helps to bring families together at dinner time, Michele said. Having meals that just need to be heated up allows quick preparation and encourages families to eat together rather than grabbing fast food and eating at different times, she said.
“As parents, we know how important it is for families to eat together,” Cameron said. “That is one of the main reasons we’re bringing Dream Dinners to Castle Rock — we really want to help make gathering around the family dinner table easier.”
Dream Dinner operates or franchises 69 locations in 22 states. While other segments of the foodservice business were negatively impacted by COVID-19, Dream Dinners’ sales continued to grow.
Along the Front Range, Dream Dinners has locations in Arvada, Centennial, North Colorado Springs and Parker.
To introduce Dream Dinners to new families, the Castle Rock location offers a Meal Prep Starter Pack that includes up to 18 plates for $99.
