Former Columbine Principals, Frank DeAngelis and Ron Mitchell, joined current Principal, Scott Christy at the renovated school’s ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 20.

Jeffco Schools Superintendent, Tracy Dorland and Tim Reed, Executive Director, Facilities & Construction were among other high-profile district attendees.

Reed thought the work accomplished was fantastic.

“The way it (the new construction) works architecturally, and as a whole — it doesn’t feel like we’ve added as much square footage to this building as we have. It al blends in very nicely,” he said.

Mitchell, all smiles during the event, said he wouldn’t have missed the celebration for the world.
